After reading these two sections in our readings there are many points that should stand out to the reader. But one main point that the reader should takeaway is that God will always be here for people. In today’s society we always hear the stories about how people were at rock bottom and had no idea what to do with their lives and then they find their relationship with God and their lives start to form and their happiness starts to increase and this saves them. We also need to understand that blaming God is never the right thing to do because at the end of the day we the people have the deciding actions on how we live our lives. In the book of JB in section 1 there is a scene at the dinner table when they are eating dinner and the children say that they are thankful for God because he has put their food on their table and he has made their lives joyful. This is a true statement. Sarah goes on to say to them that if they decide to forget God then God will forget them. It says in Isaiah 44:21 “Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.”. This is a false statement and a disrespectful one towards God. This statement that is made in JB is very relatable to chapter is very relatable to Job 30:20-22, it says ““I cry out to You, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You regard me.21 But You have become cruel to me; With the strength of Your hand You oppose me.22 You lift me up to the wind and cause me to ride on it; You spoil my success.” Job claims that Godnhas turned against him and doesn’t want success for him, he takes a victim mentality. This is an idea that should never pop into a person’s head. As said earlier God will never turn his back on us. This is the person’s fault for the way that they decide to live their life. The reason Job is struggling to find the success and happiness that he really wants is because he has wickedness inside of him. He refuses to provide those truly in need. It says in Job 22:7, “You have not given the weary water to drink, And you have withheld bread from the hungry.” Although God has no respect for these actions he is always here to forgive for these types of actions. It just depends on if you try and fix these actions. You can love God but be a horrible person. You can’t blame God for your actions as he has no control over them. If God did have this capability to control one’s actions then everyone would be perfect, but this isn’t the point of the world that he has created.
